CX Markets establishes the rules of fair trading, and supervises the trading practices of all participants in the weather market. As part of that oversight, we need to ensure that everyone who participates in weather trading on CX Markets is a real company owned by real people, and is legally permitted to conduct financial transactions. CX Futures Exchange, L.P. (“CX Markets”) has been approved by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) as a Designated Contract Market. CX Markets establishes the rules of fair trading, offers the electronic trading platform for matching buyers and sellers, and supervises the trading practices of all participants in the market.


CX Clearinghouse, L.P. (“CX Clearinghouse”), a sister company of CX, has been approved by the CFTC as a registered Derivatives Clearing Organization. CX Clearinghouse settles all trades between buyers and sellers on CX and ensures the integrity of the marketplace. All Participants in CX, once approved, automatically become Participants in CX Clearinghouse upon funding of their accounts.
